Statement of Purpose
Your ticket purchase makes a difference by helping us match federal and state grant awards for our upcoming project …way to go… by artist Sheila de Bretteville. An interactive light installation proposed for the Rt. 34 overpass near Union Station, the artwork is designed to remake a deteriorated urban space. In New Haven’s busiest “gateway,” this light installation will delight tourists, commuters, and neighborhood residents alike.
Raising monies to match to the federal NEA grant and the state Public Art + Community (PAC) Project grant awarded through the Office of the Arts will ensure the completion of this important public artwork.
